REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS

April 1 update:
Important payment notice for all throwers: as noted in our initial bid and repeated many times since, our pricing was based on 80 throwers. Our final count for throwers is 60. This is throwers only, not including volunteers or spectators. Thus, we must add a small extra charge to all throwers. Through diligent budgeting and help from sponsors we are able to make this amount much smaller than simply the difference of the Field Fee divided by a smaller number of throwers. All throwers will be charged an additional $60 dollars. Those paying in installments please add $30 dollars to the April 3 payment and $30 to the June 1 payment or you may add $60 to the final payment due June 1. This is only for throwers and is part of what we have called the Field Fee. Those throwing Individuals only (there are only a few) please add $10. If you have already paid in full you will need to remit this additional fee separately. We regret that this is necessary but as noted it is a factor of the total number of participants. Thank you for your understanding. Please be sure you pass this information along to team members.

March 30 Update:
As April 1st, the date for the next payment for those paying in installments, falls on a holiday for most, April 3rd will be the date for the next payment, which is 40% of your total due.  Please make your calculations and PayPal direct to wildmandallas@yahoo.com

February 12th UPDATE: Fellow Throwers,
   This is an important reminder of information for all attending and participating in the 2018 WBC.  Please read COMPLETELY and share with all involved.  The registration process and payment schedule is necessary because our contracts with vendors and hotel require payment from us whether you attend or not so payments from this time forward are nonrefundable.  February 15th is the next deadline involving the WBC and an important one for three reasons.

First: Payments for the 1st 30% of ANY person throwing in the event or staying at the official facilities (including volunteers) are due.  If you have paid the full amount for the 2018 WBC then you do not owe any money.  The most common amount is for those throwing in the entire event and who have paid a deposit (most likely $100) then you owe $170 + transaction fee (if paying in the US, 2.9%; if paying from outside the US, 4.4%).  I cannot possibly make enough buttons on the website to accommodate everyone or all situations; in fact, the current buttons caused some confusion.  Please calculate your payment and make it via PayPal to  wildmandallas@yahoo.com   There are one or two people who have requested special payment instructions; I will get to those emails as quick as possible.  For volunteers or those staying at the hotel but not throwing, I have spoken with most of you and you should know or can calculate your amount.  Also, there are a few people who have paid but not registered.  Please be sure you have done both.  And if you have contacted us for special rooming (2 per room etc.) then you must calculate your 30%.  Try to help us by doing your own math but feel free to email with any questions.  For questions, use duckhead@airmail.net

Second: All participating on the field as throwers, whether team, Individual, LD or all, must register and pay as noted above so that we may know our official count.  Though it is possible for a few to join at the last moment, this count of throwers from the February 15th deadline is how we will know if any extra money will be due from ALL throwers.  We have stated often and from the beginning that our fees are based on having 80 throwers.  We are close to that total but if less than 80 throwers register then ALL throwers will owe a small amount more (Individual only will be proportional).  We will know this amount by March 1st and if you are paying in portions it will be split into the two final payments due April 1st and June 1st.  If you have already paid your full amount, if there is any extra you may pay the balance anytime between March 1st and June 1st.  This fee is only for those throwing; it is what we call our field fee, separate from room and board, and includes items with a fixed price, such as rental of the field and thus the cost to throwers is based on total participants.

Third: This is the point in time when we compile our rooming list.  As you know, our ability to offer the listed price for the WBC is based on 4 people per room sharing two queen sized beds.  We must provide, per contract, to the hotel a list of who will stay in a certain room.  This effects ALL who are staying at the Marriott Hotel, even if you are not participating in the four per room pricing.  We MUST hear from everyone staying at the Marriott.  We particularly need to hear from teams about rooming preference.  For example, if you are a team of six, please tell us four names for one room and two names that we will combine for another room.  We will try to be as understanding about this as possible.  BUT this will also require understanding from all… after all, we are one boomerang family.  Again, by example, if the Japanese team tell us throwers 1-4 (by name) will share a room, then throwers 5 & 6 (by name) will be paired with, perhaps, throwers 5 & 6 (by name) of the Brazilian team (this is just an example).  This also effects any throwers where they do not have an agreed upon grouping of four.  If you are one of the throwers this effects feel free to tell us a preference and we will try to make this happen.  Also, feel free to tell me with discretion if there is someone that you just can not share a room with and we will do our best to understand and accommodate.  This information will be private and not shared.  Hopefully we do not have this issue  :-)  Remember, this will be a detailed effort on our part and we cannot make promises but we will do our best to grant all requests.  If anyone wishes to form their own group of four for a room, let us know right away.  Once the rooming list is published, participants are required to abide by the list.

Also, concerning the rooms, our contract specifies that no incidentals may be charged to a room.  If you wish to purchase incidentals, you must make contact with the hotel on site and provide payment for such independent of the WBC booking.

Please understand that the requirements specified above are mandatory.

Regarding a la cart fees: To throw only in Individuals, the fee is $84. Long Distance only is $42. These fees include lunch on the field. These are field fees only and do not include room and board. A room for one or two people is $159 + 13.5% tax and this includes breakfast and dinner. If you want to throw only Individuals and would like to share in the cheaper room and board rate where you share a room with two beds and four people, we MAY be able to offer this but it will depend on how many people want to throw Individuals only so we will not be able to promise this rate until registration is secure. If you have someone with you that wants to eat lunch on the field with us the fee is $15. If you have someone that wants to join us only for the excursion that fee is $30. A la cart fees and registration are due February 15th, 2018. All of these options are listed below. Our store uses PayPal and when you select a payment option below you will be guided through a series of dialogue boxes to process your payment.  In the final dialogue box you will have the option to pay with debit or credit card whether you have a PayPal account or not.  Please understand that we will make every effort to house throwers in a manner they prefer but with our manner of housing a patient and adaptive demeanor will be necessary.  Housing in this manner is the only way possible to provide the requirements which, through online communication and our Nation meeting at the EBC, were required by the majority of throwers.  A clean bed, good shower and cost in line with the bid presented at the 2016 IFBA meeting.  We have accomplished these goals and more... the rooms are nice, there is a great space for socializing, a fine pool and hot tub and close proximity to the field.

A room for one or two adults, including breakfast and dinner is $159 per night plus 13.5% tax.

Team and Individual second deposit (after initial registration deposit) is 30% of balance and due February 15th, 2018.
Third deposit is 40% of total due by April 1st, 2018.
Final 30% balance is due June 1st, 2018.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All persons wishing to participate in the official group lodging, whether Team, Individual, friends, family or otherwise must register and pay required deposits as noted.  A contract with the lodging establishment is in force and a complete count of participants must be provided by March 1st.  Refunds for deposits will not be possible as the hotel will charge for rooms cancelled after that date. Please be sure you understand.
Remember: All fees listed here are based on 80 participants for the entire WBC.  IF there are fewer participants, fees will be adjusted accordingly beginning with the April payment.
